How to PrayFor those who are not accustomed to praying, included here are some common Catholic prayers that one can use when approaching Spirit with a petition. Normally, try reciting one "Our Father," three "Hail Mary," and one "Apostle's Creed." These prayers can be found below in English. They will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and, forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And, lead us not into temptation. In order to do that, we must first have a clear understanding of what we really want and what we really need in our hearts and minds. Sometimes this is a painful process. Often times we think we want or need something that, in reality, will not help our situation; or worse yet, we imagine that by changing someone else we can be happy. Sadly, this usually is not what results from our efforts. Reflect on what is truly needed in your life before doing the work to make the changes. And remember, until we are happy with ourselves, little peace and happiness can enter into our lives.
